Guadalupe Pacheco serves as a public health advisor and special assistant to the deputy assistant secretary for Minority Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Mr. Pacheco is responsible for managing multiple projects that address health disparities of racial and ethnic minority communities. Mr. Pacheco serves on the board of directors of the Mary’s Center for Maternal and Child Care, Inc., and serves an advisor for numerous national programs, including the National Center on Cultural Competence, the National Hispanic Medical Association’s Resident Leadership Program, the National Latino Diabetes Action Council, Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations’ Hospitals, Language, and Culture Study, and the CLAS/Health Disparities Initiative of the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Mr. Pacheco received his B.A. and M.S.W. from California State University of Fresno.
